Abstract
Digital transformation and the expansion of artificial intelligence are generating rapid changes in production models and labor market dynamics, posing new challenges for university education. In Costa Rica’s Huetar Norte Region, characterized by a diverse productive structure, it is necessary to strengthen coordination among academia, the business sector, and society through systematic information on talent demands and the competencies required. In this context, ReInVenTa (Intelligence and Talent Linkage Network) is being developed as a digital platform that integrates data analysis and online monitoring to generate information on job vacancies, employers, and required competencies, supporting academic decision-making. This article presents the results of the first phase of the project, based on a sample of 541 graduates from 13 university programs. The results identify employment integration patterns, main employing sectors, competencies developed, and gaps between the supply of talent and labor market demands. The article also presents the methodological design of subsequent phases, aimed at analyzing employers and conducting automated job vacancy analysis. The findings demonstrate the usefulness of the model for identifying skills mismatches and providing data-driven information to support academic decision-making, with the potential to contribute to strengthening employability and transforming the regional labor market.
